The convening 2023 technology program aeronautics, managed by the CDTI innovation, expanded its budget of 41.6 70 billion in subsidies

TheMinistry of science and innovationhas announced the expansion of almost30 millionadditional budget appropriations allocated to theconvening 2023ofAeronautical Technology Program (PTA)from theit was originally intended 41.6 million to eur 70 million. The Last call, private on 16 may 2023 and included in the claims under theRecovery Plan, transformation and Resilienceand fundedEU funds Next Generation of recovery Mechanism and resiliencethus, to finance more than half of grant requests received, amounting to $eur 135 million. The two previous editions of the programme awarded118 billion jointly.
In particular, the call has received requests from50 projects in consortium, of which 23 are led by large or medium-sized enterprises and 27 by smes, with a total of 160 different companies participants and 195 shares (with companies involved in more than one consortium).
By autonomous communities, Madrid requested the 45,32 per cent of the funds, followed by Andalucia (16,42 per cent), the basque country (10,76 per cent) and catalonia (9.45 per cent).
This programme funds projects in competitive competitions on the challenges identified in the sector on reducing emissions, unmanned aerial vehicles, systems and intelligent and advanced manufacturing (digitalization). The PTA will train the national industry disruptive technologies and strategic position, in addition to spanish companies to ensure better representation in the great international development programmes for new aircraft.
The aviation sector is one of the more intensive sectors in r & D, with high- value-added products and fundamentally exporter. Therefore, the programme targets proposed in the partnership to strengthen cooperation between actors, as well as encourage further cooperation with technological centres and research organizations.
The PTA responds to the public efforts to strengthen support to the aeronautical sector, making it easier to maintain the intensity in r & D in enterprises to address the existing technological changes needed to decarbonise the sector in favour of cleaner fuels such as hydrogen or multiaplicación of drones and air taxis.

The CDTI innovation is the agency of the ministry of science and innovation that supports innovation based on knowledge, advice and providing public funding for innovation through subsidies or aid partly refundable for innovation and managing public procurement precommercial. Through the initiative Innvierte Sustainable Economy, in addition, the CDTI Innovation supports and facilitates the capitalization of technology companies.
The CDTI Innovation also facilitates the internationalization of business projects of r & D and innovation of spanish companies and entities and manages the participation of spanish companies in international r & D, Horizon and Eureka, Europe and in industries of science and space.
