NEOTEC Programme aims to support for the establishment and consolidation of technology-based enterprises.

A technology-based company (EBT) is a company whose activity focuses on the exploitation of products or services that require the use of technologies and knowledge developed since the research activity. The EBT base their business strategy or activity in the intensive domain of scientific and technical knowledge.

The most relevant aspects in the proposals supported in this line has to be a business strategy based on the development of technology (technology must be the competitive factor for differentiation in the company), based on the creation of lines of I + D + i own.

Are not adequate companies whose business model is based primarily on services to third parties own technology development.

Evolution of the agenda (2002-2014)

In 2002 it adopted the first aid NEOTEC through repayable subsidies of up to €1 million, with a general nature. The return of such loans was linked to the generation of positive cash flow from the beneficiary, except for the grants approved since march/2011 to 2014, in which after 7 first since the signing of the contract, the capital existing alive after deducting refunds demanded by the generation of cash-flow positive, will be repaid over a period of eight years in annual instalments identical..

During the reporting period have been adopted 2002-2014 639 projects with repayable subsidies NEOTEC. The public contribution is 410 million euros.

NEOTEC programme Women Entrepreneurs

This assistance funded the initiation of new business projects of innovative enterprises headed by women, requiring the use of technologies and knowledge developed since the research activity and where the business strategy is based on technology development.
