España took the 4th place, number of companies financed, the last court 2024 off the accelerator of Horizon Europe
The European Council of innovation (EIC) focus Europe has selected 71 innovative enterprises of the instrument Accelerator after the last meeting that ended last october. Of these, six of them are in spain. España is the fourth country as well as by number of companies financed
The companies were selected from the 1.211 proposals put forward, 431 (36 per cent) went to the next stage of final interviews held in january. This has been, since the launch of the accelerator of horizon EIC Europe in 2021, funding round more competitive, even the time.
Financing
Selected companies will receive, altogether, 161 million in subsidy and approximately €226 million for capital.
79% Of the winning companies have been mixed financing (Blended Finance) that combines the subvention to the technological developments until TRL8 and investment in capital to complete the necessary funding for its ambitious plan to deploy in the market.
The winners, only 71 10 companies opted Only by a subvention (Grant Only), 5 which come from the united kingdom, and other financing only 5 requested of the capital investment (Equity Only).
It is expected that companies will receive the grant in the next three months following the signing of the contract withEISMEAwhile investment decisions would depend on the urgent needs of companies and the level of maturity your current rounds of investment.
Company profiles
21 Per cent of the selected companies are headed by women in various management positions as CEO, CSO or CTO. With regard to geographical distribution, beneficiary companies from 16 countries, including Germany (15 enterprises), Países Bajos (11 companies), sweden (7 companies) and España (6 companies). Of these 6 spanish companies, 5 have been able to maintain, one week before the final interviews, interviews by way of testing with the CDTI Innovation to acquire greater experience and preparation in the evaluation stage.
The CDTI Innovation continues to provide its support through national contact points off the accelerator of Horizon EIC of Europe in order to review its assessment and improve the proposals in the following courts provided for in march and october 2025.
