The CDTI Innovation search a spanish company to work with Egypt in treating wastewater

This project, led by the National Research Center of egypt, is intended to implement appropriate treatment of municipal wastewater anaerobic through a system allowing the production of biogas. The effluent will be used to a system of culturing algae through aeration and algae produced could be used as a source of food a fish farm

INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY COOPERATION

Technological development has three fundamental points:

  • Anaerobic treatment of municipal wastewater: Wastewater treated primarily anaerobically. There is No need to energy. On the contrary, it will produce biogas as a source of energy.
  • Seaweed production: The treated water is used for the growth of algae through aeration of culturing algae.
  • Fish farm: Seaweed produced can be used as food a fish farm.

The proposal aims to be submitted to the call 2025 ofEgypt Spain Innovation Programme (ESIP), which until30 april 2025.
