The CDTI Innovation is the definition of challenges of the next call for Missions science and innovation, scheduled for june 2024

The CDTI innovation, the public body corporate financing innovation of the ministry of science, innovation and universities, prepares the launch of the convening of the Missions 2024 Science and innovation, enshrined in the recovery Plan, transformation and Resilience whose goal is to support projects of major strategic projects to research focused on encouraging pre-competitive research relevant to propose solutions to cross-cutting challenges and strategic objectives of the spanish economy, improve the knowledge and technology base that support spanish companies to compete and stimulate cooperation público-privada between companies and institutions of I + D + I.

In particular, for the convening 2024, eight missions to address cross-cutting challenges to combating climate change, boosting energy transition, to strengthen the proceedings concerning circular economy and sustainability, progress in the digitisation of industrial and economic activity, including e-health, and develop technologies that contribute to the development of the new spanish industry:

• Sustainability and efficiency of air transport
• Decontamination of ecosystems
• Buildings more efficient, sustainable, environmentally friendly and adapted to climate change
• Sustainability and efficiency in processing and packaging for food industry of quality and safe
• Safe driving adapted to new models of electromovilidad and autonomous vehicles
• Development and strengthening of the ecosystem spanish integrated photonics
• Digital health: in further developing biosanitarias technologies based on digital systems
• Tecnologías habilitadoras para el desarrollo de un entorno logístico flexible, automatizado, seguro e inteligente

To that end, we will be supporting r & D projects implemented, submitted by consortia between 2 and 6 companies led by smes (except micropyme) or large company, with a total budget of between 1.5 and 6 million euros (175,000 per company) and 5 per cent minimum of subcontracting of its budget to research bodies; the missions are not prioritized by what will be selected projects irrespective of the mission to which they are designed. The projects will have a period of duration until 31 december 2025.

CDTI Innovation

The CDTI innovation is the public funding of innovation of the ministry of science, innovation and universities that promotes innovation and technological development of spanish companies, channeling requests for funding and support for r & D & I projects of spanish entities at the state and international levels. We Contribute to the improvement of the technological level of spanish companies and drive and, with an international network with coverage of 51 countries support the spanish participation in international programmes for technology cooperation and the international transfer of technology. The CDTI also supports the creation and consolidation of technology-based enterprises in Spain.

The centre for technological development and innovation, E.P.E. (CDTI) is a public entity under the ministry of Science, innovation and universities.
