The CDTI Innovation promotes technological developments in the field of circular economy

Today's economy is difficult to linear and not only by the massive extraction of raw materials used for the manufacture of products which are then thrown away but also for its environmental impact and consequences that it follows. In this situation, the circular economy proposes a model of production and consumption of sharing, reuse, refurbishment and recycling of materials and existing products whenever possible to create added value. In Addition, the transition to circular economic models had a direct effect on competitiveness and sustainability that requires constant innovation and changes in behaviour of consumers.

Aware of the growing interest that increasingly raises circular economy PROVIGO foundation has organized thisjornada informativathat will receive broad panel of experts from the public and private sectors.

During the course of the same will be presented the main keys to accelerate the transition to a productive system more efficient and sustainable in the use of resources and raw materials. The day will be developed in four blocks to be considered highly topical issues related to the importance of the planning of the circular economy; the opportunities and challenges of the circular economy for the business sector; financing opportunities and methodologies for introduction and development of strategies of circular economy in the company.

With regard to theCDTI Innovation, María José Tomás, the department's technical and Institutional Promotion of Territorial Cooperation will report on the instruments for aid offered by this body to finance for innovative projects in the field of circular economy.

CDTIInnovation

The CDTI innovation is the agency of the ministry of science and innovation that supports innovation based on knowledge, advice and providing public funding for innovation through subsidies or aid partly refundable for innovation and managing public procurement precommercial. Through the initiative Innvierte Sustainable Economy, in addition, the CDTI Innovation supports and facilitates the capitalization of technology companies.

The CDTI Innovation also facilitates the internationalization of business projects of r & D and innovation of spanish companies and entities and manages the participation of spanish companies in international r & D, Horizon and Eureka, Europe and in industries of science and space.

The centre for technological development and innovation, E.P.E. (CDTI) is a public entity under the ministry of Science and innovation.
