El CDTI Innovación participa en Kuala Lumpur en el Malasia – Spain Innovation Program MYSIP Open day

Javier Ponce, Director General of the CDTI innovation, the ministry of Science, innovation and universities, has opened today, together with Rushdi Abdul Rahim, president and CEO of Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT) and YBhg. Dato 'Prof. Norzaini binti Azman, Deputy Director-General of Academic & Research, the ministry of higher education of malaysia (MOHE), the first Open Day on the bilateral agenda with malaysia. This event was attended by José Luis Pardo, Ambassador of spain in Malaysia, and of senior representatives of the Ministry of Science, technology and innovation of malaysia (MOSTI)

The objective of this event is to strengthen the scientific and technological cooperation between Spain and malaysia


In this event, held at the headquarters of the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT), informed4Th Called hispano-malasio bilateralthat will remain open until18 january 2024and have made good practices and success stories with the aim of promoting technological cooperation between the two countries.

This day has as main objectives to increase the visibility and share information on the Innovative Programme Malaysia – Spain (MYSIP) since its launch of the call for proposals, in september 2023, and strengthen cooperation between the agencies funding partners: MIGHT, MOHE and CDTI Innovation.

Finally, at the end of the meeting, the teamCDTI Innovationhas held meetings withMAVCAPProfound -Building Legacies by Funding Innovation, venture capital fund is largest in Malaysia;Cradle Fund - Creating, Leading and Startupsthe accelerator and technologyMRANTI.

Close cooperation

The bilateral agenda Malaysia & Spain Innovating Program (MYSIP),managed by the CDTI Innovation together with the agencies MIGHT (Malaysia Industry Government High Technology Group) and MoHE (ministry of higher education of malaysia) aims to promote, support and financing the development of technology cooperation projects between entities of malaysia and Spain in areas of mutual interest. The agencies of both countries are looking for r & D projects are more market-oriented in a close collaboration between the international consortium members.

Since its establishment in 2020, the Programme has mobilized MYSIP 16 joint proposals, involving 17 spanish companies and malaysian 33 entities, including businesses and universities. So far, there are 3 projects certificates and to which theCDTI Innovationcommitted financing for development of innovative aerogel for industrial applications, valuing chitosán from soldado-negra fly and reuse of recycled polymers and natural fibres for the production of composites for roofs. The total budget of these 3 projects amounts to eur 1.5 million and the input of CDTI Innovation stands at 0.8 million euros.

CDTIInnovation

The CDTI Innovation is the agency for financing innovation of the ministry of science, innovation and universities that promotes innovation and technological development of spanish companies, channeling requests for funding and support for r & D & I projects of spanish entities at the state and international levels. We Contribute to the improvement of the technological level of spanish companies and drive and, with an international network with coverage of 51 countries support the spanish participation in international programmes for technology cooperation and the international transfer of technology. The CDTI also supports the creation and consolidation of technology-based enterprises in Spain.
