Close cooperation

The collaborative efforts between Japan and the european union to promote the fusion research not only will this energy source, but they also serve as a model of international cooperation for a cleaner energy future.

In these almost two decades, scientific and technological cooperation between japan and europe has witnessed a number of important development projects, such as the new tokamak JT60SA Naka in and the prototype of accelerator LIPAc, among others.

However, the most significant result of these years of collaboration has been the establishment of a strong correlation between research centres of the merger of the countries concerned have expanded to their respective industries.

Japan is involved in the design of the Neutron Source of Advanced Merge (AFNS) and, on the part of the european union, the construction of the IFMIF-DONES has already begun in Granada. Given that both projects share common objectives, it is hoped that Japan will play a key role in the project IFMIF-DONES and, in this regard, the participation of japanese companies in this draft the Eu provides great value. So crucial to further strengthen the linkages between spanish and japanese companies, both for IFMIF-DONES as for the future A-FNS.
