José Moisés Martín Checker, the new director-general of the CDTI Innovation
The governing council of the centre for technological development and innovation (CDTI) has approved the appointment of José Moisés Martín Checker as the new director-general of this body, under the ministry of Science, innovation and universities.
Bachelor's degree in economics from the Universidad autónoma de Madrid, has studied graduate programs in finance from the IE Business School, economic analysis in the national and international economic relations in the CEPADE from Universidad politécnica de Madrid. It also has a diploma in digital strategy in INSEAD and supplementary training with different courses of study at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government-IESE and the London School of Economics.
Martín has more than 25 years of experience in the public and private sectors. 2008-2012, was head of the department of multilateral cooperation in the Spanish Agency for international cooperation for development, where he was responsible for the promotion of development (FONPRODE), member of the committee of enterprise internationalization (FIEM) and of the governing council in the public company P4r-españa Outward Expansion.
In 2012 was appointed senior economic adviser to the embassy of south korea in Spain. It has also been director of the consultant Red2Red between 2014 and 2024; member of the advisory council of economic affairs of the ministry of economy and of the advisory council of the high commissioner of Spain Enterprising Nation; member of the group of experts “ 100 of COTEC ”, the foundation COTEC for innovation; and of the advisory council of the institute Hermes on digital humanism.
Between 2016 and 2024 has served as professor of economics and entrepreneurship in technological university Camilo José Cela. It has also been invited speaker at various postgraduate programmes and has written numerous reports, book chapters and articles on risk capital, innovation and digital economy Has published books “ spain 2030, Govern the future ” (Deusto 2016) and “ The future of prosperity ” (Ariel 2022).
CDTIInnovation
The CDTI Innovation is the agency for financing innovation of the ministry of science, innovation and universities that promotes innovation and technological development of spanish companies, channeling requests for funding and support for r & D & I projects of spanish entities at the state and international levels. We Contribute to the improvement of the technological level of spanish companies and drive and, with an international network with coverage of 51 countries support the spanish participation in international programmes for technology cooperation and the international transfer of technology. The CDTI also supports the creation and consolidation of technology-based enterprises in Spain.
The centre for technological development and innovation, E.P.E. (CDTI) is a public entity under the ministry of Science, innovation and universities.
