The ministry of science, innovation and universities opens the reconvening of the assistance of the aerospace and LOSS of Health to 513 million in assistance reimbursable partially

The ministry of science, innovation and universities has just opened new call for projects of r & D and innovation of LOSS-of-the-art Health, with a budget of up to $273 million, and aerospace industry, with a budget of up to 240 million. Of the total 513 million available for this call of grants, which is managed by the CDTI and is linked to the Addition of the recovery Plan, transformation and Resilience recently adopted by the european commission on 2 october 2023, up to 100 million tranche may relate to non-refundable or grant equivalent, depending on the total volume of aid.

This action, financed with funds from the recovery Mechanism and resilience and aligned with the targets set for the LOSS by the council of ministers in 2021 and 2022, is focused on the development of r + D + I, scaling, industrial, modernization and upgrading manufacturing processes, digitization and technological updating, development and implementation of sustainable processes, in the context of new forms of collaboration público-privada which are key to the implementation of the projects in the recovery Plan, transformation and Resilience and whose profile is of great for power and drag to economic growth, employment and competitiveness of the spanish economy. All the individual projects applying for aid must be completed by 31 december 2025.

In particular, the specific objectives are:

• Health of vanguard: improving the health of the spanish population through scientific knowledge, innovation and health data as vectors of transformation.
• Aerospace: to convert spanish industry in key player in facing challenges and opportunities associated to the major changes envisaged in the short and medium-term strategic global space market.
   

Eligibility of aid
 

Edge health:

It is understood by the health promotion and protection of health through the development and incorporation of products, innovative procedures and digital solutions that add value in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment or rehabilitation of patients in a personalized way.

Shall be considered eligible projects of r & D and technological innovation whichobjectiveimplies a clear need to address technical assistance, as in the area of diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and monitoring of pathologies of any therapeutic Area, which represents a significant technological leapfrogging and observe mainly:

• The Momentum of personalized medicine of precision.
• The development of advanced therapies and other innovative drugs.
• The improvement of prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and research geared to health, based on the collection, processing, analysis and exploitation.
• The digital processing of healthcare in a position to cybersecurity.

Aerospace:

It considers the aerospace everything relating to the design, development, production, operation and maintenance of aircraft manned and unmanned spacecraft, and propulsion systems, as well as related infrastructure necessary for the operation and to carry out tasks of experimentation and testing in their stages of development and the development of commercial services directly related to aeronautics and space infrastructure.

Shall be considered eligible projects of r & D and technological innovation whichobjectivesthe observance and content of priority:

• Research and development aimed at increasing the efficiency of the aircraft and significantly reduce emissions of air transport, including airport infrastructure and systems for air travel to provide air traffic more efficient.
• New developments unmanned aerial vehicles and infrastructure of software and hardware for their safe operation in airspace.
• Quipos systems and loading.
• Design of payloads related to environmental monitoring, the quantum communications and security in international cooperation.
• Strengthening of the spanish technological capacities for commercial use of space (including New Space).
• Sustainability, digitization and innovation of the aerospace industry, including innovative systems of maintenance, predictive analysis and monitoring in real time.
• R & D projects in this area, which represents a significant technological leapfrogging or an increase of the technological capabilities of the company.
   

The aid profile

  • Individual projects of innovation: support to the company in improving their competitiveness through the incorporation of emerging technologies and the aim was to strengthen innovation in certain regions of spain.

Funding provided by the CDTI is carried out with funds from the mechanism for the recovery and resilience (MRR), so that projects should respect the principle not to cause significant harm to the environment (principle DNSH: Do Not Significant Harm) through the implementation of specific conditions relating to mitigation and adaptation to climate change, sustainable use and protection of water resources and marine resources, transition to a circular economy, prevention and control of pollution and protecting and restoring biodiversity and ecosystems.
