The Aeronautical Technology Programme (PTA), of the State Programme to Catalyse Innovation and Business Leadership as part of the 2021–2023 State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation, aims to finance intensive strategic R&D initiatives carried out by groups of companies with the aim of contributing to the development of technologies relevant to the aeronautical field.
More specifically, the aim is to significantly reduce the environmental impact of aeronautical technologies by increasing the efficiency of future aircraft and reducing pollutant emissions from air transportation, not to mention other strategic technological challenges such as systems, drones and advanced smart manufacturing.
The PTA is included in the National Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, which will receive financing from the Next Generation EU funds, including the Recovery and Resilience Facility.
Projects must fit into one of the identified technological challenges:
- Technologies focused on emission reduction: zero-emission aircraft
- Drones
- Systems
- Advanced smart manufacturing Digitalisation
