The CDTI Innovation participates in the XVIII General of the Spanish Rail Technology Platform
On the occasion of the commemoration of the 175 years of railways in Spain, the next 24 october there will be the XVIII General technological platform in the Spanish Railway which will bring together experts and representatives associated with this sector and entrepreneurial innovation
The Spanish Rail Technology Platform (PTFE) is a tool in the service of the rail sector, led by the industry, to define the 'long-term vision' and 'strategic Research Agenda', with the aim of the scientific and technological developments to ensure the competitiveness, sustainability and growth of the spanish railway. Its primary mission is to align the strategies of the different actors, to concentrate the efforts of I + D + i and reduce fragmentation in the area of research.
This event, to be held at headquarters of the founding of the Spanish Railways of Madrid, will include a series of conferences remarks with the participation of Javier Ponce, Director-GeneralCDTI InnovationGiorgio Travaini, Director General of Europe ’ s Rail, Manel Villalante, Director General of strategy and development Renfe and Luis López, Director of business strategy of Adif.
The day will be developed in four panels:
- Milestones achieved and work plan for the period 2023-2024.
- Positioning in the context of r + D + i union.
- Projects and challenges in the rail sector: boldness for innovation.
- Talent and innovation in the station. The sector's real needs.

CDTIInnovation
The CDTI innovation is the agency of the ministry of science and innovation that supports innovation based on knowledge, advice and providing public funding for innovation through subsidies or aid partly refundable for innovation and managing public procurement precommercial. Through the initiative Innvierte Sustainable Economy, in addition, the CDTI Innovation supports and facilitates the capitalization of technology companies.
