2015 EDRF–Innterconecta projects

Overall Objective

This call for applications will support experimental development projects through cooperative projects between companies.

Beneficiaries

The beneficiaries of the grants provided for in this call for applications may be groups of legal entities as defined in Article 5.2 of the Funding Rules, which are able to carry out the projects that are the object of the aid. The groups must be made up solely of companies, in accordance with the category of beneficiary provided for in Article 4, section a), point 7 of the Funding Rules.

 

The groups must be made up of at least two independent companies, at least one of which must be large or medium-sized and one of which must be an SME, as defined in Article 2 of the Funding Rules. There may be up to six companies within the group. No independent company in the group, nor any group of related or associated companies, may exceed 70% of the eligible budget of the project.

 

Submission deadline

The submission period for applications was from 30 April to 30 June 2015 at 12:00 Spanish peninsular time.

The completion and submission of applications for aid must be carried out through the electronic means provided for this purpose on the Centre for the Development of Industrial Technology website (https://sede.cdti.gob.es/).

Type of assistance

The aid will take the form of a non-repayable grant. The individual amount of aid will be determined on the basis of the real eligible cost of the project, the characteristics of the beneficiary and the budget available, respecting the aid intensity limits established in Article 40 of the Funding Rules. Specifically, for small companies, the maximum aid intensity will be 60%, while for medium-sized companies it will be 50% and for large companies, 40%.

Call budget

The minimum eligible budget is €1,000,000 and the maximum budget is €4,000,000.

Characteristics of the project

Projects must be multi-annual and part of the project must be carried out in 2015. In any case, aid must be applied for in 2015. Projects will last for two or three calendar years, ending on 31 December 2016 or 31 December 2017, respectively.

Evaluation criteria

Only projects developed within the geographical scope of the following regions and/or autonomous cities will be supported: Andalusia, Asturias, Canary Islands, Castile-La Mancha, Extremadura, Galicia, Murcia, Ceuta and Melilla.

The themes of the projects submitted must respond to one of the eight Social Challenges established in Article 8.2. c) of the Funding Rules:

  • Health, demographic change and well-being.
  • Food safety and quality, productive and sustainable agriculture, natural resources and marine and maritime research.
  • Safe, efficient and clean energy.
  • Smart, sustainable and integrated transport.
  • Action on climate change and the efficient use of resources and raw materials.
  • Social changes and innovations.
  • Digital economy and society.
  • Safety, security and defence.
